东革阿里 (马来西亚国宝)

东革阿里（又称南洋人参）是生长在东南亚靠近赤道的原始热带雨林中潮湿砂质土壤里一种野生灌木植物，成熟期一般为10年以上。树高4-6米，最高可达12米，树干直径8-10厘米，最粗可达15厘米。树枝几乎没有分叉，树叶长在顶部呈伞状。其根亦不分叉入地最深可达2米。东革阿里的根部有多种功效，与燕窝，锡器一起并称为马来西亚三大国宝。
 

研究显示，东革阿里根部 (特别是芯) 包含许多植物化学药物，它能增进睾酮的产量，睾酮是男性性功能所需的荷尔蒙，也是脑部发育所需的激素。
 

Tongkat Ali (The Malaysia’s National Treasure)

Tongkat Ali (also known as the Ginseng of Southeast Asia) is a species of wild shrub that grows in the moist sandy soil of Southeast Asia’s primitive rainforest, which is near to the equator. The maturity period usually takes 10 years or more. The plant is about 4-6 metres tall, and it can reach to a maximum height of 12 metre. The diameter of the trunk is about 8-10 centimetres wide, which can be as wide as 15 centimetres. The branches almost nearly do not divide, and the leaves would grow on top of the plant, forming an umbrella shape. The roots do not branch out as well, and they can grow as deep as 2 metres underground. 


The root of the Tongkat Ali contains numerous health benefits. It is known as the Malaysia’s national treasure, alongside with the Bird’s Nest and Pewter.

Research has indicated that the root of Tongkat Ali (especially its core) contains a variety of phytochemicals, which can increase testosterone production. Testosterone is an important hormone for male sexual reproductive function, and is required for brain development.
